My seat map has been closed online as well as to KLM agents since I booked my flight four weeks ago. What gives? It's a US to AMS flight, and Im wondering if they are just being spiteful since the JV requires that those flights give free seats in business class. So irritating that no one can do anything about it. In anyone's experience, do the seat maps eventually open up closer to departure?
I called in a few times when this happened to me and the agent on the phone would say that they also can't see the seat map. Usually, the map comes back about 48 hours before the flight, but it's very annoying to not be able to see the map in the meantime.
