Still no response from Finnair on the promised ticket change rules. In the meantime, they changed the aircraft on one of my flight legs and premium economy cabin disappeared, so they are letting me cancel for a full refund. Fingers crossed about receiving the full refund shortly. This of course does not resolve their hidden and unfair ticket change policies, but at least it looks like I am off the hook with them...
