If in a foreign country with Uber, be on the lookout for foreign equivalents to see if that will save on the rides to/from airpomrts and perhaps even have shorter waiting times. For example, in France, Bolt is often a good deal cheaper than Uber.

That said, sometimes things work out differently in terms of cost. For example, earlier this week and last week, my Uber rides to and from in Sweden were way cheaper than usual for Uber or even the historically reputable bigger taxi companies. Even had some local Uber rides that were in the range of bus fare. Some kind of flash or targeted flash promo it seemed.
