At least with Bilt its really designed with loyalty program partners in mind.
One of the individuals in charge there @ The Bilt program came from Starwood,Jet Blue and IHG and had been involved
in the loyalty space for many years.
There target audience is the younger generation getting them entrenched before they go onto home ownership.
2 cents a point at least in hotel programs has been getting tougher to achieve of course always some sweet spot exceptions exist in almost every program
More and more as these programs get crazy with devaluations I am doing cash back more frequently @ 2% & 3 % return
Cash still king when all else fails with program dysfunction & excessive devaluation.
