Comparing the Sabre calculation your screenshot, it would appear that JL is only collecting their own YQ on your ticket. The MH, AY, and BA YQ are not collected. Seems booking through JL is a good idea (but you have to wait a long long time on the phone right?).
I wonder if the lower cost of DONE3 ex-CAI + more YQ's is similar to the total cost of DONE3 ex-TYO + fewer YQ's?
Why not call the JAL call center in Japan to book a DONEx ticket? I assume they have an English language line?
