If you buy AZ flights under their native AZ flightcodes, you earn nothing in Flying Blue.

That means that AZ is a much more "distant" partner than non-Skyteam FB partner airlines such as JAL and Qantas - on those you can earn miles and XP even when travelling on JL and QF marketed and operated flights.
