I have a posted delay for my YQR-YYZ morning flight tomorrow from 5:00 a.m. to 6:35 a.m. The reason given is "pilot scheduling issues". I know in some cases, when delays are posted one is still supposed to show up at the originally appointed time in case the time reverts to the original time. I assume I am ok to show up at the airport my usual 90 minutes in advance (so around 5:00) rather than at 3:30? A little extra time in bed will be nice but I don't want to miss the bag drop deadline either.
I bet that if you look at the YYZ-YQR inbound with that crew on it (assuming this is something you can reasonably determine by looking at the schedule) it is late and the pilots need to get their X hours of rest before the morning departure. If that is indeed the case then you can pretty much guarantee that it won't depart any sooner.
