Thanks! I will try to remember to change the currency before posting. I am aware that no country in Europe uses USD as their default currency. I live in the US so it is set as my default currency and Google displays it when it detects my location. I'm not going to change the default currency in my Google profile to GBP or EUR or SGD or something because I know the value of a dollar, I'm used to comparing flights in USD, and the value of a foreign currency has little effect on my day to day life unless I'm traveling in another country. I have no clue if 1,000 CHF is a lot compared to 1,000 Rand compared to 1 trillion Zimbabwe vs 1,000 USD.
I also post the USD value in addition to the foreign currency as kind of a reference for myself. I suppose I could also argue that it saves somebody in the US a trip to a currency converter, but I haven't thought about that. It's mostly habit and what I'm used to looking at!
