I am travelling from London to Dubai (EK 32) and return on EK 003...I have seats 14A and then 17B and was looking at seatguru and looking for guidance from anyone that perhaps does this a bit regularly? I fly approx 200 to 250k miles per year and am oneworld emerald (typically ise BA, AA for transatlantic flights and then CX into Asia (for the most part)..I am pretty versed on seats and the routine with oneworld (ie. fast-tracking / lounges / etc) but wanted to try Emirates.
As for seat, my flight out is a friday night and i have a very chill saturday planned so would like to get the full experience and leverage the lounge at the airport as well as on the plane...not sure about arrival lounge? Any and all advice is really appreciated...
Thanks in advance, BB
For a single passenger in J on the A380, choose an ‘A’ or a ‘K’ seat as they are more private than B or J seats. I think 23 A or K are the best.
You can of course use the on board lounge to your heart’s content.
There are no arrival lounges anywhere in the EK ‘system’. The LHR lounge is pretty good and you board from the lounge. In Dubai you can use either of the J lounges (in concourse a, B or C). If you leave from concourse A you board from the lounge, in the other concourses that is not an option although for a few B gates you can board from the same level as the lounge. If you have a lot of time you can hop between lounges, you are free to use any of them. Don’t bother with C if you don’t depart from there, it’s the least attractive of the lounges. Do visit the Moët bar in the B lounge.
