Ahhh....the miracle happened today! I looked into my account and nearly 2000 dollars was added from SAS.

It required EIGHT MONTHS of constant pressure! Incredible!

I cannot say what was the "magic", of if any of my "threats" did anything. I looked into opening a claim with Norwegian courts but it would have been another new nightmare, I'm afraid.

Ultimately, one SAS supervisor finally read my email and (I think) decided that some underling actually did screw up and sent an earlier December payment into the ether instead of to my account. Was hard to prove to them that I never got paid and I think they didn't want to admit to themselves that they made such a mistake. But I'm just guessing, as they never "came clean" with me.

Epilogue: I find it hard to believe that a company with the high reputation of SAS turns to an outsourced Asia call center to do customer service. When I used to work at IBM, I quickly learned that the money saved by using such centers only adds to the bureaucracy. Dealing with customers is no place for bureaucracy...unless your goal is to piss customers off.

nacho, I hope you well with your battle.
