I say make your own choice. Figure out which one has been more enjoyable and has made the most sense for you. Those perturbed because a credit equal to 2% of their travel expense isn't as convenient as they want, wouldn't judge my whole travel.

I was in a similar boat as you. I used IHG for years as it made the most sense for my work scenario. Damn where those accelerate offers great. Today, Hilton works best for me as their resorts are more numerous (and that's where I usually stay) and the Aspire has been a great match.
