In the middle of a sub-par stay here. Pretty disappointing as I stayed here in 2018-2019 and didn't experience the games they're playing now.

Booked a standard room and used a TSU to confirm a Regency Suite King. Upon check-in, I let the front desk agent know that I need to use my 4p late checkout benefit. He said that checking out at 4p would not be possible, and that standard suites need to check out by 2p, and premium suites by 1p.

They're clearly trying to turn over rooms, since they have a 3p check-in time, but in an attempt to make incoming guests happy, they're pissing off existing guests.

Food/beverage staff in the 40th floor Regency Club are very attentive and kind - that's my only positive point.

There are other issues, such as the property playing with inventory, but I'll write a follow up post after checkout, as things are still developing.

Either way, I would not recommend Hyatt Regency - Mexico City (Polanco), even if you don't need to checkout late.
