Yep PY was full. Aeroplan and AC agents over the phone couldn't do anything basically just said suck it up and you will be on the upgrade list again.
Had to go to the airport way early to speak to the check-in agent. After a few phone calls and 30 minutes later, rebooked to PY on another flight. This warrants a letter imo.
Or your wife's priority is low enough that they would bump your wife from PY to Y to accommodate some downgraded J folks.
