Would someone mind checking my eUpgrade strategy for the year. All of these flights are booked in this order for two people and are 7+hours. I only have enough for two of these legs.

2.PY-A (Premium Economy Lowest)
3.Y-X - Economy - Standard Award
4.Y-T (Booked via United Basic Economy on AC metal, read I may be able to upgrade at gate?)
5.Y-T (Booked via United Basic Economy on AC metal, read I may be able to upgrade at gate?)
6.Y-X -Business Class Lowest Award (Online it said instant upgrade for this leg available, but AC but my eUps in jail for 96 hours so missed it) eUps applied *waitlisted
I was planning on trying to leave myeUps always on flight 6 since it may clear randomly due to "Business lowest?" and it's the flight I care most about.
If flight 1 doesn't clear I will just keep moving it down the list.
If flight 1 clears, should I move my eUps to flight 2 and then on down? (based on time of day I think flight 2 has a good ability to clear) so I don't end up wasting the eUps if flight 6 never clears? Or should I hold out for flight 6?
