Same w reverse round trip - do I book a round trip starting from there and then cancel a second leg?
thanks!
I guess most of the information on these workarounds were in older threads so it requires a little searching to find.
Alaska has a bug (feature). It does not show JAL flights in the last 6-7 days of the schedule when doing a simple search so you have to do tricks or workarounds to get the one-way JAL awards to show.
Calendar trick:
Using the Avanced Search from the homepage to do a Calendar search will allow some space to show but not always all and it is not clear whether or why it works for some but not all hidden space. Try this first. If it works for you then great, if not then you may need the Reverse Round-Trip Workaround.

Reverse round-trip workaround:
The bug only affects one-ways so if you search for a round trip everything shows.

So, at the end of the calendar (last week of schedule) you should use other partners to search for availability and if you find it then use the workarounds above to get AS to show it. AA has a good search engine and so is a good one to try.
