We didn't just walk around the base but I bought tickets to get to the top (had the combo ticket for the lift and a glass of champagne at the bar at the top).
Got the tickets in advance on the tour eiffel website https://ticket.toureiffel.paris/en and it all went very smoothly. Like with airline award inventory, advance-sale tickets are limited and only made available 60 days in advance, so you need to be quick to snap them up as soon as they get added (T-60 days at midnight local time) . The party I did this for were first-time Paris and France visitors, and the experience was worth the money.
Yes. The experience. - I completely agree. My 14 year old and 12 year old children are first time Paris visitors. Thank you for the advice for the combo ticket.

G7 - Did you book two one way mini van rides or one round trip mini van ride in advance? Or did you book when you are ready to go?

Thanks
