I called a bunch of US Bank phone numbers to figure things out. Then I stumbled to this toll free #. It turned out to be a general USB gift card service #. Apparently, any gift cards, be that store specific gift cards or generic VISA/MC cards, they can service as long as issued by USB according to this supervisor. Initially, it seemed like it's not gonna work. The supervisor Alex was an .... Once I hang up, I called this toll free # again. Miracle, the problem solved. They are sending me replacement cards.

It can be hassle if there is an issue, but you may learn some other tricks. I did. Although Alex was ..., he did say they stopped servicing Kroger VISA/MC 3 months ago, but I don't know how true his statement was since USB card just started to disappear, not 3 months ago.
