I have a 3 night stay in Mexico City in June. It will be my first time in Mexico City. Due to my flight schedule for a trip with friends to Oaxaca keeps changing I decided to just go to MXC to check it out and fly from there.

I was thinking about staying at HR, but saw that the Hyatt Regency Insurgentes is brand new and opening in February. I'm not concerned about the property, I'm sure it will be nice, but am more concerned about the area. Looks like transportation will not be an issue due to Insurgentes, but is the area any good? Will I be stuck in an officer park and not near any good food/nightlife/things to do and see?

If anyone has heard anything about the new property that would be cool as well.
