Responding to a critique by pointing out that others do it too... indeed that's not necessarily defending the blog, but it does seem to diffuse/deflect the issue itself. I wouldn't say that's the best example to use to defend your position.

Its the excessiveness of it that substantiates my allegation. Albeit its not like I actually believed my allegation to begin with.
