Upon arrival at HKG, nobody asked anything about vaccination or COVID tests. I went through immigration and customs in 3 minutes.
Basically I wasted my time to do a rapid test at my BKK hotel, and obtained HK online green code.
Don't beat yourself up for erring on the side of caution.
Just a few weeks ago, airlines were refusing pax who had done self-administered RATs, even though HK govt had put them in the list of accepted tests.
Flying to HK like you just did has come from a looooong way, and not trying to outsmart the current system was a wise choice.
