I requested an eUpgrade to J but my clearance window hasn't started yet (25K: 4d for NA/Sun). My understanding is I will be on the waitlist for both J and PY. If, at the time of my clearance window opening, there is enough N space but not enough R space (for me to clear an eUp at that time), would my J-upgrade request simply not clear at all, then go to the gate, then possibly not get an upgrade to either J or PY? In which case is it better off to only request a PY upgrade before my clearance window opens (in bettering my chances of any upgrade at all)? I'm only 25K and booked a Y Standard ticket
