Chase support is telling me that since my statement closed December 8th, Dec 9-31 are considered 2023. I wish there was a prior year of this to base experience on - perhaps someone on here has one of the other legacy cards that confer elite nights (I believe both the old business card and the legacy Bonvoy card both have this feature?)
My statement close is 1/3 and this is the response I received from Chase and appears to correlate to what you were told.
"the Elite nights earned from purchases made in December won't be applied until January. December 2022 Elite night credits earned won't be considered for 2022 Elite night credits earned count when determining 2023 Elite night status level."
