We considered getting married there as well but overall found the restrictions around getting a marriage license to be a bit much. If I recall correctly you have to be on the island for 3-4 days before getting married; as we were planning to go for ~ 5 days we didn't want to wait around most of the time for legal requirements to be met get married then leave the next day. Additionally, at the time (2020 pre-covid) we found the hotel to be MUCH less responsive than Amanera and Amangani.
Ultimately we chose Amangani and they did a phenomenal job, and made us feel like family. When the photographer backed out at the last minute they found a truly famous photographer to fill in and honor the existing rate which was 1/4 of his normal rate.
