Do they accept it now? For a while with the new machines, it would spit it out and not work. My TWIC still doesn't work as don't other DHS/TSA IDs - much to my eternal amusement.

They won’t let you in the separate preclearance line without it, because they have no way of verifying your eligibility otherwise, so you may find yourself forced to go through the regular line if you’re not carrying it.
I’ve never had a long wait anywhere in Canada. I did have a multi-hour wait in Aruba for preclearance a few years ago, but Canada seems to be ok.
Interesting. I've never had this issue, they just let me through. GS machines won't work without being a member, so it's not like sneaking through helps anyone.
Then again, some people are sticklers - I may have just gotten lucky.
Aruba is a mess. They took my passport away and I got locked in a room for several hours before being handed it back and let out. Never told me why.
