For several years, my Vegas buddies and I (a group of 4) have all had Total Rewards Visa credit cards. Our points from purchases have always posted to Total Rewards within a couple days (or so) after a purchase has POSTED. We have never had to wait for statements to close to get our points. We use Award Wallet (usually on a daily basis) so we are aware of when our points post. I suppose it's possible this is a "feature/option" dependent on when you got the credit card.
100%, my last points posted in early November ( My current RC expiration is 5/9/2023 ) when my last statement closed.
I have a ~$15 balance on my CC that posted on 11/28 so if they used the latest transaction my expiration date would be in late May 2023
My card closes 12/8 so I expect the new expiration date to be in June.
Anyway it's more/less a mute point as IMO the card is only good for extending points and since we have a monthly charge we should never get close to 6 months where you lose your points.
If you want a card that earns CET points get the Wyndham Business which pays 8X on gas and transfer 30K (this year it was 100K) over to CET
