That is a crystal clear and succinct summary of one's reaction to "met expectations" as a newly minted Marriott Bonvy Ambassador Elite.

Congratulations, mfirst , on attaining this rarefied level, something I am unlikely to attain in this lifetime.

To be as contributive as possible, and maximize the benefits other FlyerTalkers gain from these insights, I find it best to post a link to the leading thread on this topic, namely, discussion on the value of our Ambassador level.

Personal Ambassadors to be re-introduced in 2023; qualification spend to rise to $23k

Beaucoup Bonvy!
We have indeed been Bonvyed! I just checked into a hotel where I am a regular and greeted by first name when approaching the check in desk.

Absolutely no Ambassador recognition beyond that warm welcome on a first name basis and was later told that Marriott doesn’t reimburse them for the gestures and hotel leadership has been thrifty lately.

I suggested taking my business elsewhere and the front desk manager nodded sadly and shared with me that other Ambassadors haven’t really returned to the property but went to another one across town.
