it may be because the eastbound flights are redeyes. But then again, so are TA flights leaving from East coast cities around the same local time as the Hawaiian departures to DFW.
I’m not sure but that would make sense. Honestly, I was happy for a which and light meal service as it allowed me to get some decent sleep (for a less than 7 hour red eye).
