Arriving in the new terminal is now an awful experience. After deplaning your walk a good 10 mins to reach baggage claim, then wait 20+ minutes for baggage, then queue for combined immigration / customs. It makes absolutely no sense why you would get your bags first. The 30+ mins you waste waiting for bags could be better utilized queueing for immigration.

And my flight was the only flight that arrived at this time. Can’t imagine what a bigger mess it would have been had there been multiple flights arriving at the same time.

And don’t get me started on the security screening after rechecking baggage. There is no precheck and the new machines was incredibly slow / not working properly causing them to continually pull scanned bags to re-scan them. It honestly may have been quicker to exit the terminal and back through the regular pre check lane.
