I saw two messages earlier that I think are new to me (could be wrong though)
Had just finished composing a reply and clicked submit and got
TypeError: explode(): Argument #2 ($string) must be of type string, array given in ..../products/hotel- reviews/lib/class_hotel_reviews.php on line 470
which is peculiar among other reasons because the thread was
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...-benefits.html which is not a hotel review thread.
attempting to go back to the thread to try again resulted at first in a CloudFlare error, then our old friend the database error (the one that has happened a lot in the past), then finally
Error: Undefined constant "posts" in ..../includes/class_dm_threadpost.php(1653) eval()'d code on line 36
Opera, Android, mobile skin, and I did not bother with the rest because the site had literally just a second ago been working fine and suddenly started throwing these errors without my having changed anything. So I can't swear it isn't specific to mobile skin, or having blocking on, etc. but this has all the hallmarks of a bad code update*. This was shortly after 5pm Central European Time (GMT+1) according to my screenshots and texts to other FTers to see if it was just me. It resolved itself for me maybe 10 minutes later (code rolled back?)
*EDIT: I missed the "8" of the "PHP 8" in the title and only realized it after a mention of the PHP upgrade in the Oct 24th thread. So this certainly explains the triggering event, although as usual one wishes this could have been tried out on a beta site first to work out the kinks before unleashing it in production.
