After reading some of the reviews I thought the breakfast would be quite average, but I was actually pretty impressed. I can imagine that if I were staying at this hotel for more than a couple nights I might get tired of it, but I enjoyed it.
As for the "Bakery Passaround" I think they are supposed to bring your tray after you get the set course (or at least that's what I observed at other tables), and it is on the menu, so I suspect it was uneven service.
My wife and I also liked the yuzu custard brioche as well, so much so we asked them to bring the bakery tray to us a second time, for an additional helping.
how did you find the butler service, and did you utilize them to pack/unpack your stuff, or anything else?

I'm just checking out now. The turndown service I had was similar, sans slippers at bedside although mats were present. Water placed on the table rather than bedside.
Also enjoyed the Platinum breakfast as displayed in your photos.
On the first morning, one of the waitstaff offered pastries as we were finishing breakfast. The yuzu custard brioche was quite good.
The following morning, no pastries were offered to us but I could see some tables having it presented. I'm not sure if these are offered only on the first morning or the result of uneven service.
