LOL, you don't learn very fast, do you?

Seriously, why would you fly CX on an AS award and be surprised at something like this (and not prepared) when CX has already pulled the rug out from under you?
I repeat myself: t
he problem is that CX has spent the pandemic being an operational trash fire in terms of schedule reliability. AS has at best limited capabilities to recover when CX pulls the rug on people with award ticket. In this case (day of flight IROPS) this is on CX to reroute you (or I guess this person).

Should be, but... I'm rather surprised CX is actually flying a fifth freedom (BKK-SIN) on a regular basis when their route network is still way below being "regular". Note that BKK-SIN isn't listed here:

I picked some random dates on a search engine and all the BKK-SIN flights for CX go through HKG. I think it would be rather surprising that they're doing regular fifth freedoms.
Maybe we need
Paul Harvey on the case.

How long was the layover? In which location? I assume by "
A ticket to replace what we had on that route for that 2.5 hour flight is $500 to $900" this is a J ticket? Any chance you took a long layover in HKG/BKK for a few weeks/months and you want your add on SIN trip now, but CX cancelled the flight long, long ago?
