Cancelled Partner Booking: Any accommodation ever offered?
Yet another partner booking cancelled (this time Cathay) due to schedule changes? Very understandable, but are there ever any other accommodations or benefits offered to affected passenger?
For example, this one was BKK-SFO-stopover- SFO - BOS. When the Cathay portion was cancelled, they also cancelled the SFO-BOS portion. Now, that is no longer available. So I lost that.
Alaska seemed to not care. Is it reasonable and fair for Alaska to stand behind their partner program and to help with smoothing impact of changes? This does not seem to be happening at all.
Any experiences or recs out there on that? Are miles ever offered to help with covering additional costs / time / expenses / frustration / inconvenience? Seems like that would be reasonable. I have spent days and days of time dealing with changes to schedules.
I am just not sure what to ask for.
