FWIW, a full reset probably wasn't necessary; if this happens to anyone else, try going into Settings->Applications->Manage Apps->Silk Browser (or "Internet") then "Force Stop", "Clear Cache", "Clear Data", then "Launch Application" then try going to NeverSSL - Connecting ... .
