I would love to see the original 1941 terminal (currently the "Exhibit Hall") reconfigured with a few gates. Then maybe extend that area to the south with additional gates (similar to the UA gates just to the north)? Will be interesting to follow this. Thanks for posting.
The original terminal isn't getting new gates - historic preservation rules getting in the way. However, the south hangar complex (currently housing the CG, Signature FOB, TSA equipment testing lab, and the aviation school) are slotted for lots of changes. At one point there were serious plans to convert them into MWAA HQ offices when the exiting HQ was demolished to make way for the new T-2 E gates pier. New MWAA HQ will now be located across from the parking garages where the current public safety and engineering departments buildings are (the old USG testing laboratory) in combination with the new on-property hotel.
