Normally if you book a first class, you expect nice fare conditions, but seems to be not.
Some first class fares have rebooking, cancelation, price differences fees like in standard Economy tickets.
One has - and this is not applicable for LH only - to make nowadays a distinction between service class and flexibility rules.
The cheaper first class fares are as restrictive as the cheaper C- or Y-class fares. The expensive F-, C-, Y-class fares are all highly flexible.
The advantage is that First Class ticket became cheaper over the years, although also more restrictive.
