Would you recommend the produce?
Does it elimiate all sound?
Does it eliminate the sound of other people talking?
Is it worth it?
Does it really work ?
And what is it really good for?
Thanks
I fly twice a week, and hate it if I leave them at home. I NEVER leave them at home in summer, as they have the uncanny ability to tune out most of the noise range generated by crying babies... Once you've been on a flight where everybody but you and your fellow Bose wearers lands very stressed out, you'll never think about the cost again.....
I've become so used to using them with an iPod at low to moderate volume that I can imagine I'm at home with light music on in the background. Unfortunately, I'm sitting in a horribly uncomfortable kitchen chair with my knees against the wall...

They really help me "tune out" the airplane environment (and if the seats were more comfortable, I could forget completely).
Like others have mentioned, they don't tune out all sound, but they do kill almost all the low engine noise. With tunes turned up even a little bit, you can't hear anything, and in fact, the flight attendants can scare the hell out of you by tapping you on the shoulder unexpectedly.
You won't be disappointed with the QC2 (which sound a little better, and fold a LOT smaller) than the QC1's (I've owned both). And the case for the QC2 holds an iPod nicely right in the center...
