Right off the bat, the cancelation policy isn't the same. That's grounds for immediate rejection right there.

I've had quite a few successful BRGs for Hyatt, along with Hilton and Marriott.

You need to really make sure that you are following their requirements for BRGs down to the letter. It could be that they will let you slide, but chances are, that's not going to happen.
