There wasn't a destination fee at my last stay - just checked my folio. Must be a new development - you would be hit with it on cash or points bookings.
I watched some youtube video on someone complaining to marriott about it and getting it refunded, but not sure if this is same type of fee? Will contacting corporate do anything? I'm tempted to just cancel and book with points from elsewhere
