would ya provide or clarify more info about how to add bags & select seats online with tickets bought at airport? was the agent at counter able to add or link ya acct to the booking conf?

I just bought at airport but the agent said can't add or link my acct # to the booking; therefore, my online acct didn't show any booking & the system wanted to charge me for bags & seat selection; i had to call in (on hold for almost 1 hr) 🙁 to get the bags & seats added... in my case, got a cheaper fares at the airport but took more time & hassle to get it corrected! Was it the fact that my acct # had not got added by the agent at the airport... or a system glitch, etc.. that I had to call in to correct it? I asked the agent on the phone, but didn't get a clear answer as to why...Thx
