Simply because doors don't offer total privacy doesn't mean they aren't providing more privacy.
I'm over 6' and it's absurd to suggest the view of other passengers isn't significantly reduced, even when walking up and down aisles, especially during sleeping hours when most doors are closed.
Think they're useless don't close yours, but many passengers obviously appreciate them.
I don't think that people here don't appreciate more privacy.
Maybe the sentiment here is that it appears there is an urgency of putting a door no matter what and by doing that the airline forgets about making a seat that is also
more comfortable than the previous seat generation.
I think we are getting what appears to be a less comfortable seat (tighter at several spots) but with a door. The trade-off does not seem justified.
