I had no idea they were doing this. I'd seen the new seats on display in BOG but didn't know exactly what was going on. I won't judge and say I hate this yet, because I haven't flown it...but I'm concerned.
  • Personally I like in seat IFE, even though it's old school now, I prefer that viewing angle. For that reason I also hate bulkhead, because I don't like that arm coming out from underneath and the angle it's at. However, if they provide streaming for free, power ports at every seat and a viewing stand for tablets/phone, then I'm cool with it. That tablet stand is the biggest reason I don't use streaming more often, rather to just opt to sleep or zone out. Having it makes all the difference.
  • "built in headrest", what a bull**** statement. For a short flight I really truly don't care, I've flown BOG-MDE plenty of times, on AV/LA/Viva and I've been more or less fine with all of them, my preference is flying Satena to EOH but the cost and schedule usually factor in. But I've flown BOG-IAD...this would be miserable without some kind of neck pillow, even the weird AV split headrest thing was better than this.
  • I know most people don't care, but I want to know my damn booking class. Not S,M,XXL I wanna know, Y, B, E, L or whatever. Recently bought a fare and upgraded to M even though I didn't need to check a bag, because I thought it was worth it to ensure I got miles. Got no miles. I don't know why they can't just show it on the details page before paying. Even if I use ITA there's no guarantee that what I find there will match up with whatever is on the site. The price might be the same, but the coding seems to be a mystery.
  • I'm not opposed to them becoming a bit more of an LCC for domestic flights, or even short haul regional. Frankly their J class was overpriced, not worth anything and often had plenty of empty seats. This new premium economy thing seems about the same if not better than their old recliner product, but the economy product on longer flights might really be a turn off.
