If it's only 50 SQD, it might be more palatable to just upfare an existing ticket; going from Flex K to Flex G, or Comfort T to Comfort V, or Flex K to Comfort K, whatever, can potentially be done for just over $50 and not require any additional travel. It might take a bit of work on your part to find it, but if an hour of your time saves her a day of MR, that might be a good ROI.

Unfortunately I can't upfare any of our remaining trips as many are not AC, and the ones that are, are on a companion ticket (latitude, already upgraded). I have suggested that she take a day trip to YYJ, that is, unless AC announce an extension of their European double SQD promo.
