Looking to book a Mileage Plus mixed award BNE-SFO (in J) and SFO-YYZ (in Y) is on AC Metal and is not a codeshare. Fare class is X for that AC segment. Trying to figure out what my options are to eupgrade to J other than waiting until closer to the departure date. I'm assuming that X fare translates into a "Standard" fare aeroplan award in terms of the e-upgrade window and costing? I would gladly upgrade that segment to a latitude fare to get an instant upgrade (which are available). Any ideas/options?
