Regarding the above, did you find plenty of space in the overhead bins after sharing with the middle seats? We will probably only have 1 full sized cabin bag between us and maybe a smaller bag each to keep by the seat.
We were in 1J/K with a trolley case and a few bags - that took up the whole of the bin above our seats. 1G stuck his stuff in the one behind ours, which quickly became full along with stuff from window row 2 seats. Worth noting that your small bags need to go up in the overhead too for take off and landing. Looking across to the other side bins looked heavy at the front, due to the lack of middle overhead bins (rows 1/2). As many people know, the 77S fleet at Gatters is a small cabin of 4 rows, not the huge dorms you get coming out of Heathrow.
