You have option of taking vaportto from Pont Nove to Burano and transferring in Burano to Torcello. For true magic, splurge and hire water taxi to the steps of the Locanda Cipriani. All of the produce are grown in their beautiful gardens. Twice, my husband and I took water taxi from airport to the Locanda. There are only about 6 rooms, including 2 modest and magical suites. Our suite was the one overlooking the church and the gardens and the beautiful sky.
