Three things to note about this:
- That "1/8th mile radius walking distance" circle drawn around the IAD station has to be a typo, because every other station map in this flyer is drawn with a 1/4 mile circle and any dummy can check the distance for themselves in Google Maps. But seeing the moving-walkways connection under the parking lot end well short of that line underscores that this is not, objectively speaking, very far, and I'm not just saying that because I connected through FRA yesterday...
- The Fairfax Connector 983 bus will continue to connect the airport to the Air & Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center.
- I don't know what that "Metrobus Shuttle" by the A icon between the station and the parking garage is about, but I'll see if I can dig up the flyer at home later on.
My hunch is 952 will run to where- Reston station operating on local roads in between stations. Right now it runs from Erhke-Reston to Herndon. It might be an alternate bus route like evevetpry other bus runs once an hour.
the shuttle to udvar-hazy wasn’t going anywhere with metro opening.
on weekends service closures they don’t run regular city/ county bus but instead run charter buses that only go in between stations without any stops in between.
where I live starts a 6 week closure south of the airport. There will be bus charter routes but not all of them follow the exact station to station. Just like the 2019 summer closure they had charter buses running pentagon- Springfield going 395.
where I live there is a local bus route between Braddock and crystal city I would use.
