I normally just book the room via points with my information. I follow the booking with a call to the hotel letting them know it is for a family member/or friend and they notate the reservation accordingly with their information so it is seen at check in. I do this regularly and have never had a problem
me too. Never had a problem and when I book a room for my parents at a property where I use to stay often they extend my titanium benefits to my parents (breakfast as welcome gift and upgrade)
