If that's true, I'd imagine it only applies to flights on AA ticket stock, because they wouldn't have pricing for flights on other's tickets. In fact, I think I've had it apply to a JAL marketed flight booked on AA ticket stock, but that was before the current loyalty point scheme.
Can you point to anywhere that says it only applies to AA marketed(/ticketed) flights?
