Can I access AF lounge in ORY2 and are Halls 2 and 1 connected airside ?
Thanks

and as there is automatic gates before security, even if you're willing to go through security twice to enjoy an easily forgettable lounge, it will probably be complicated to negotiate with the machine to let you go to ORY2 with a boarding pass for ORY1.
I'm however not a all an ORY Guru, so if someone else has a better knowledge....

I asked the question to the Ultimate TA and received a negative answer "your flight will leave for ORY1A, so you cannot access the lounge in ORY2". I then asked if there was any lounge in ORY1 (our wiki thread says that it's definitely closed) and I received a very confusing answer (at least confusing for me) : "leaving from orly 1A, there is no possible lounge access. You can access the Orly 1C lounge only when leaving from Orly 1B" 🤪.
I am totally lost. Am I the only one to find the new Orly very confusing ?

the worst in that ckeck-in for AF is at Orly3 even if you depart from Orly2...
I am answering my own question and give the final outcome. I will say upfront that it’s another code-share fiasco as I didn’t have free lounge access. As a reminder, I was flying a domestic flight AF-marketed and Amelia-operated (note that this was not a franchise AF flight solely marketed by AF, but a real code-share flight marketed both by Amelia and AF). Flight was departing from A gates (ORY1) from this horrible downstairs waiting room (bus gates). I needed a quiet place to participate to some online meetings ending just before my boarding time and this is why I needed to arrive relatively early at the airport before my flight.
- not possible to OLCI with AF, possible with Amelia so I had an Amelia BP arriving at the airport
- I tried to obtain another BP from an AF kiosk : not possible
- Amelia BP was refused when scanning it to enter security at ORY2 for C gates (trying to go to AF lounge). Explaining to ADP agent what were my intentions and that I didn’t care to pass security twice, she said it’s not possible to go airside C gates when having a BP for A gates.
- she also confirmed ORY 1 & 2 are not connected airside (otherwise it would have been easy

)
- As a last recourse, I stopped at AF ticketing counter to see if there was a possibility. There was none as I was fearing. I was told “it’s for a question of security”

. It showed also how clueless the AF staff is about code-shares and constraints/needs of their pax : when I asked her what was the point of buying the ticket to AF instead of Amelia for their top status pax, she answered that they are selling tickets for all airlines so it’s just a selling service they assure. No Madam, it’s a code-share and you sell the ticket usually at a higher price than the operating airline. She had no clue and I stopped the conversation at that point as it was going nowhere obviously.
- so I had no choice other than going to A gates and try the lounge there (Premium Traveler)
- there is no agreement between AF and this lounge. Not really a surprise as there is no more AF-operated flights from there, only a few Amelia code-shares.
- I ended up buying a paid access (36€) as the terminal was super busy and there was no way I could make my meetings from the main hall. I will post pictures in the lounge thread soon. The lounge is comfortable and rather pleasant but the offer is minimal. But it did the job perfectly.
What’s ridiculous in this story is the total lack of understanding by AF of the code-share situation consequences and constraints for their pax (not the 1st time we say this). There are 2 types of Amelia-operated flights:
a) flights under AF franchise agreement. Those flights are marketed solely by AF and depart from ORY2 / C gates (bus). Those are flights to DCM, AUR, etc. AF status pax have all benefits (SP, lounge access)
b) Amelia flights, code-shared with AF and marketed both by AF and Amelia. Those are flights to RDZ, BVE, CFE, etc. They depart from ORY1 / A gates. AF status pax have nothing.
All those flights are under OSP (obligations de service public) and move frequently from a) to b) and vice-versa.
Knowing that, for b) flights, a significant number of tickets are sold by AF and that a) flights are already departing from C gates, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to have all Amelia flights boarding from ORY2/C as this is all bus boarding. But for this, a bit of goodwill is needed
