The Sky Club access + the bigger MQM bonus on your spending is what brought me from Platinum to Reserve. Got a 2nd card for my wife too, and yes, it's another $175/year, but she gets to go into the Club for free with it. So, at $725/ year for the two cards, and it costs $39 to get into the club as a "guest", you can see how the card can pay for itself after a few lounge visits. Not to mention the free food and drink in the club, which is food and drink that you would otherwise be paying for in the airport.

Each visit, when I'm alone, is worth $40-$50 in food and drinks.... and as a couple it's $100/visit if you think about the $39 entry fee + food and drinks for two people.
